Our Story

Twelve years of working with founders in Gdańsk

Galebe started in 2014 as a small advisory practice working with a handful of local founders in Gdańsk. What began as informal conversations over structuring a business and pricing a first product grew, over time, into a structured mentorship program. Today the team counts 11 people, and the practice has worked with 1056 clients across 1565 completed engagements, covering 3 districts of the city and its surroundings.

Our mission is straightforward: give entrepreneurs direct access to people who have built, sold, and restructured businesses themselves, rather than theoretical coaching. We measure our work by whether founders return for a second engagement — so far 402 clients have done so, which we take as a more honest indicator than any satisfaction score we could quote.

Practical focus

Sessions are built around real numbers from a founder's own business: cash flow, pricing, hiring decisions. We work from 13 defined service areas covering finance, operations, and growth planning.

Direct communication

Requests typically get a reply within 1 hour during business hours. We keep the group of active mentors small enough that founders speak with the same person throughout a program.

Local grounding

Based on Ulica Jasienska in Gdańsk, we work primarily with businesses operating in and around the city, which keeps our advice tied to conditions our clients actually face.

What Founders Say After the Program

Result: New Pricing Model

I run a small ceramics workshop in Wrzeszcz and came to Galebe with one problem: I had no idea how to price my products without either losing money or scaring off customers. My mentor, assigned within the first hour of my request, walked through my cost structure line by line over four sessions. We rebuilt my price list from scratch, tested it on two collections, and margin went up by roughly 18% without losing a single regular client. What stayed with me most was how little time was wasted — every meeting had a clear agenda and a written summary after. Six months later I still use the spreadsheet we built together.

Focus: Communication

Solid mentoring, no fluff. My mentor had run two businesses herself before coaching, which showed in the questions she asked — never generic. The only reservation I have is that between our third and fourth session there was a two-week gap because of a scheduling mix-up on their side. It got fixed once I emailed, and support replied within the hour as promised, but I'd have liked it caught earlier. Would still recommend to anyone opening a second location.

Content was useful, especially the module on cash flow forecasting. Price felt a bit high for a one-person business like mine, and one session ran short because my mentor had a scheduling conflict. Overall fair value, but I compared notes with two other founders in my program cohort and I think the group format suits bigger teams better than solo operators.

Second time working with Galebe, this round focused on hiring my first employee. The contract review and the interview script my mentor gave me were worth the whole program on their own. Clear, direct, no wasted words in our calls.
