Galebe was set up in 2014 as a small advisory practice working out of a single office on Ulica Jasienska. Twelve years later the company still operates from Gdańsk, with a team that has grown to 11 people covering finance, operations, sales and legal structuring for small businesses.
The company began after its founders noticed the same pattern repeating among local shop owners and freelancers in Gdańsk: solid products or services, weak financial planning. The first clients were three small retail businesses in the Wrzeszcz area. From there the client base grew mostly through referrals, one business owner introducing another, until the practice covered three districts of the city.
Galebe exists to give entrepreneurs a structured way to review their business decisions before they become expensive mistakes: pricing, hiring, cash flow, contracts. The mentorship program is built around 13 distinct service areas, from bookkeeping reviews to negotiation coaching, so a client can pick what applies to their stage of business rather than buy a fixed package. Sessions are scheduled individually, and a typical request gets a first reply within an hour during business days.
Most engagements start with a two-hour audit of the business: financial statements, current contracts, staffing costs. From there, the consultant proposes a short list of changes ranked by impact and cost. Clients receive written notes after every session, not just verbal advice, so decisions can be revisited later without relying on memory.
Three things guide how the team works. First, direct language: a consultant says when a plan is unrealistic instead of softening the message. Second, documentation: every recommendation is written down with the reasoning behind it, so a client can question it or share it with a business partner. Third, continuity: 402 of the 1056 clients served came back for a second engagement, usually because a business circumstance changed and the earlier plan needed revising. Nearly 40% of the practice's total work is repeat business, which shapes how contracts and follow-up sessions are structured.
Book an introductory session to go over your current situation and decide which of the 13 service areas applies to you.
